Proven Service to Fort Bend County

Former Constable Nabil Shike has proudly served the people of Fort Bend County with integrity, dedication, and leadership. As Constable for Precinct 3, he worked tirelessly to keep our neighborhoods safe, ensure accountability in law enforcement, and strengthen the trust between officers and the community.

A Record of Results

Under his leadership, the Constable’s Office expanded community policing programs, improved response times, and built strong partnerships with residents, schools, and local organizations. His focus was always on protecting families, supporting youth, and upholding fairness and justice.

Nabil Shike's Career

Former Elected Constable Shike was Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Shike grew up in the Alief area, attending Chancellor Elementary, Alief Middle School, and Elsik High School. 

  • In 2005, he moved to Fort Bend County and graduated from George Bush High School.
  • He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Lamar University. 
  • Shike began his law enforcement career in 2014 as a deputy with the Harris County Constables Office (serving Precincts 4 and 6).
  • He has worked in various divisions and received multiple commendations, including the 2017 Community Service of the Year Award.
  • He holds an advanced peace officer license from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and received the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association Trilogy Award, recognizing supervisory, command, and executive-level achievement.

Political Career: Constable of Fort Bend County

  • In the 2020 election, Shike was elected Constable of Fort Bend County Precinct 4 as a Democrat.
  • He assumed office on January 1, 2021.


Shike served as Constable for Precinct 3 from January 1, 2022 until the end of 2024.

As Pct. 3 Constable, Shike prioritized:

  • Diversity in leadership by appointing the first African American Chief Deputy and first Latina Captain in the department’s history. 
  • Enhanced training and professionalism among deputies,
  • Expansion of the reserve deputy program, improving manpower and cost-efficiency.
  • Establishment of a 24-hour policing model, increasing proactive patrols and community engagement. 
  • Community initiatives like food and toy drives, Law Enforcement Memorial Day Bash, Trunk-or-Treat, “Roses for Seniors,” and Hoop to Fight Domestic Violence.
